My staff have compiled this list of our most frequently asked questions, if any of your questions are not answered here, please call the motel anytime between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. (208) 664-6168, and we will gladly answer your question personally.

1. Being 3 1/2 miles out of town, does your motel have cable TV?

Yes! Bennett Bay Inn has it's own Direct TV 24 channel system. It is one of the first in the Northwest and was installed by Alternative Commercial Cable of Coeur d' Alene. We have ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, plus 3 Cinamax Premium movie channels, plus many other channels.

2. Why do you only allow 2 adults in a hot tub theme suite and no children?

For safety of children, and for the enjoyment of all our guests. When parents go to sleep there is nothing to prevent a child from falling into the hot tub, because it is not a jetted bathtub, and is always full. This rule is to prevent a tragedy from happening. The inn is suppose to be a quite peaceful place, and we do not allow parties or gatherings at the inn.

3. How do I reserve a room?

You need to call 1-800-368-8609 (not available in all area's) or (208) 664-6168. You will need to provide your credit card number to hold the room. We do take debit cards with a Visa/MC logo to hold rooms also. We cannot hold rooms without a valid credit card with funds available at the time the reservation is made.

4. Do you charge my card when I make the reservation?

No, but we do what is called a post authorization for the first nights stay. This post authorization will tie-up these funds until you check in. If you use a debit card, your bank may hold the amount of the post authorization, and deny your use of these funds until the post authorization expires or is used.

5. Can we book a room to have a party or a wedding?

No, we are not set up for this type of event. The Bennett Bay Inn, is a small quite place, and large groups disturb the other guests.

6. Can we book the whole motel?

Maybe, depends upon the time of the year, and other reservations we may already have. We generally have some reservations at least 1 year in advance. If you book more than 3 rooms, they must be pre-paid.

7. Do you have phones in your rooms?

Yes, direct dial phones. The switch board is open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. for incoming calls. Our going calls are available 24 hours per day.

8. Do you have high speed internet?

Not at this time.

9. Does the motel have lake access?

No, the motel is on a hill overlooking the lake. But lake access is only a short drive away.

10. Can you see the fireworks from the motel on the 4th of July?

No, Tubbs Hill is directly between us and where they launch the fireworks.

11. Do you have on site laundry facilities?

Not at this time.

12. Can I control the temperature of the hot tub in our room?

Yes! All hot tubs have a top side control that allows you to set the temperature up to 102 degrees. The temperature rises about 8 degrees per hour, but will only fall about 3 degrees per hour. This is why we preset all tubs at 96 degrees. They will generally rise to 100 degrees within 30 minutes.

13. Do you use chlorine in your hot tubs?

Yes, we maintain a reading of approx. 5 ppm. All hot tubs are drained and refilled on a 7-10 day schedule. All water is crystal clear, or it is changed.
